Calvary’s Expansion Offering is a strategic moment every year in the life of our church as we step out in faith to resource the ongoing development of our ministry centers.
The building, development and ownership of ministry facilities provide our campuses with a hub from which to reach our cities, a sense of permanence in our local communities, and a legacy for generations to come. In every city where we have a Calvary campus (and in all those cities still to come!) our desire is to own property and facilities. Our Expansion Offering is one of the most tangible ways which we make this a reality.
Typically, our Expansion Offering takes place in June each year. As we started 2020, none of us could have anticipated the far-reaching effects that Covid-19 would have upon our communities, economy and future forecasts. While this has provided new challenges, God continues to prove His faithfulness.
This year’s Expansion Offering Sunday will be held in October 2020, providing an additional three months to adjust to the ‘new normal’, while establishing and strengthening our position.
For those people who’ve been in Calvary for a number of years and are in the rhythm of making an Expansion Offering faith pledge and cash gift every June, this option will continue. A private, online faith pledge form is available below, which means you can continue in the rhythm of a 12-month pledge cycle. Once submitted, this form goes directly to our Finance Department.
For those people who would prefer to make a faith pledge and offering in October, we’ll communicate more details about our Expansion Offering Sunday as we draw closer to the date. Pledges made in October would be for a 9-month period (October 2020 – June 2021).

For this year, our Calvary Worldwide offering, which generally takes place in September, will be combined with our Expansion Offering in October. While these two offerings will be combined, in our Australian campuses, the option to specify giving toward building (tax-receiptable) and missions will be available. Offerings toward Calvary Worldwide are not tax-receitable but are vital to empowering our continued support of missions initiatives both at home and abroad.
2 Corinthians 9:10
“… God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you.”
