All Things New
No matter who you are, where you’ve been, or what you’ve done, God loves you. While this might sound strange or cliché to you, we’re absolutely convinced that it’s true. Regardless of your life journey to date, Jesus can make all things new in you today.
Many people have questions about God and some people have simply concluded that God is unknowable. The Bible teaches that because of Jesus we can know what God is like and how he feels toward us.
When Jesus arrived on the stage of human history, he never claimed to be just another religious teacher or positive example for us to follow. Jesus claimed to be God in the flesh, allowing us to see and know what God is like.
Through his teaching and miracles, Jesus showed God’s kindness toward imperfect people like us. Ultimately, it was through his death upon the Cross, remembered every Easter, that we see the clearest demonstration of God’s love for us.
The Bible is clear that when Jesus’ died upon the cross, his death paid the punishment that we deserved for our sin and wrongdoing. Though he was sinless, innocent and perfect and we are sinful, guilty and imperfect, Jesus took our place. He acted as our substitute. He died so we don’t have to. And he rose again from death so that we could have new life.
To say ‘yes’ to Jesus and have faith in him brings forgiveness, a personal relationship with God and the assurance of eternal life. If you know you need Jesus in your life, or you’re not sure whether you’re right with God, you can decide today to put your faith in Jesus.
Simply pray this prayer from your heart:
Dear Jesus, I’m praying this prayer because I know that I need you. I’m not God, you are. Please forgive me for my sins. I believe that you died upon the cross for me and you rose again, so I could live a new life.
I accept your love and grace for me and ask that you would be my Lord. Give me the power to live for you from this day forward.
In Jesus Name, Amen.
